Blue-green algae warnings removed for Laanecoorie and Tullaroop Reservoir

Goulburn-Murray Water (GMW) has removed the blue-green algae warnings for both Laanecoorie and Tullaroop Reservoir following a significant decline in blue-green algae levels.

GMW will continue to undertake regular water quality monitoring and if blue-green algae reach levels deemed unsafe by national health guidelines a warning will be issued.

Blue-green algae warnings remain current for Lake Eppalock and Hepburns Lagoon.

Customers are reminded that water supplied by GMW is not suitable for human consumption without first being properly treated.
