GMW holding drop in sessions in Central Distribution Region

Wednesday 21 June, 2023

Goulburn-Murray Water (GMW) has released its proposed prices for the next four-year regulatory period (2024-28) and is now holding a series of drop-in sessions across its West Distribution Region for customers to share their feedback.

GMW is required to develop a pricing submission every four years that outlines the proposed prices and service levels customers can expect for the next regulatory period.

The drop-in sessions will provide an opportunity for customers to ask any questions they have about GMW’s services and fees and give feedback to help develop the pricing submission.

GMW has also developed a series of online pricing simulators that assist customers to calculate what their proposed customer account will look like over the next four-year regulatory period (2024-28).

GMW Central Distribution customer services manager Brian Letcher said GMW was consulting on several topics likely to be of interest to many customers in the region.

“One of the big items we are looking for people’s feedback on is drainage,” he said.

“We have had a lot of feedback on our drainage tariffs being simplified. There are a few options for how we can change these tariffs and the timeframes for these changes, so we are eager to learn about customers’ preferences.

“More broadly, we are looking at some potential changes to our billing, including moving to a single end-of-season variable charges account, altering the fixed charges due date, and hardship options for vulnerable customers.

“We are keen to get customer feedback on these changes, so we encourage them to share their thoughts.”

There are seven drop-in sessions being held in the Central Distributions Region in June and July. They are:

  • Lockington: Thursday 22 June 2023 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
