GMW is the owner and responsible land manager for over 10,000 parcels of land throughout Northern Victoria. Property Services provides a vast range of services relating to these land parcels.
GMW is also a Referral Authority under the Planning and Environment Act 1987 for certain land use and development proposals. The obligations and responsibilities associated with these functions are carried out by GMW’s Property Services Team.

Property Services Main Functions
Property Services carry out two main functions that regularly intersect/intertwine:
Landowner/Manager
GMW is the owner and responsible land manager for over 10,000 parcels of land throughout Northern Victoria. Property Services provides a vast range of services relating to these land parcels, including, general land dealings, licencing and leasing agreements, and permissions to carry out works on GMW land.
Referral Authority
GMW receives a wide range of applications for review from Councils, Responsible Authorities, consultants and landowners in relation to land use and development proposals. GMW requires that development proposals do not impact detrimentally on GMW’s infrastructure and the flow and quality of surface water and groundwater.
